Haydn started in the third sector in 2001 as a youth volunteer organiser in the US, organizing and participating in humanitarian trips to Zimbabwe and throughout the Midwestern United States. After university, he worked for a boutique events company in London as an Events Associate before joining Citizen International, a Washington, DC-based international relations NGO as a Campaigns and Outreach Manager with fundraising and data management responsibilities. He moved on to work in the Higher Education sector as a Research and Data Manager, before starting Charity Junction in March 2011. He has over five years of experience of managing Raiser’s Edge databases and has used professionally, Access, Alterian, Ascent, eTapestry and SITS, among others. He has a BA (Hons) in Politics and Economics and a MSc in Development Studies, both from the University of London and has trained in statistical packages at Imperial College, London. He is a member of the Institute of Fundraising and is an experienced Prince2 practioner.
